FAMILY ADVENTURES IN SWEDEN--PART I

FRIENDSHIPS CONTINUE OVER 45 YEARS
JUNE, 2010

We have always enjoyed keeping in touch with friends over the years, and this summer we will renew some longtime friendships in Sweden! In 1965 Dick and Judy decided to venture to Sweden, the country Dick's grandparents had emigrated from in the late 1800's. While in Sweden we met some extremely hospitable families whose friendship continues 45 years later!  Over the years both Bonnie and Carolyn had opportunities to spend time in Sweden. In those years Carolyn used her given name but changed to Maia while in college.

This summer, in celebration of 50 years since Dick and Judy were introduced to each other, we have decided to take our entire family to Sweden for two weeks! Our adventures will be many with both daughters, Bonnie and Maia, one son-in-law, Dug, and two grandchildren, Dugan and Sage, together on an international journey.

Below are some photos from 1965 when we first met these Swedish families and from 1993 when Carolyn (Maia) and Judy returned to be with them again for Midsummer celebrations.
