REMEMBERING IN OCTOBER OUR JUNE SWEDISH JOURNEY

In early October, Bonnie, Dug, Dugan and Sage drove down to Cincinnati from Chicago for a few days. We remembered the weeks we had spent together in Sweden last summer in several ways. Dugan and Sage, under Judy's guidance, mixed and cooked Swedish pancakes for breakfast one morning. They were scrumptious with lingonberry jam!

Another of the ways we enjoyed memories of Sweden all over again was by spending time together looking through the hundreds of photos that Dugan and Sage each took while we were traveling in Sweden. Judy suggested that each of the children choose a certain number of their own photos that we would have printed to put in their own Sweden photo album. The time we spent making the albums was valuable for thinking back to the people and places that were the most meaningful for the children. When Dugan and Sage put each photo in their own album, they each wrote a caption for it. In the years to come, these photos and writings will bring back lots of memories.

The third way that we celebrated our Swedish adventure was by enjoying a typical Swedish dinner including Swedish meatballs and many vegetables. Our close friend, Cliff Reeder, joined us to sample Swedish cuisine.
