Days 11 and 12
The St. Johns Farmers Market provided many delicious samples of fresh food for all of us and opportunities for closeup photography for Dick.
Considered one of the top ten seafood restaurants in the nation, Jake's Famous Crawfish has been a downtown Portland landmark for more than 110 years. We enjoyed dinner here with Bobbi, one of Maia's friends.
Following dinner, Maia, Dick and Judy walked over to Powell's City of Books, which claims to be the largest independent new and used bookstore in the world. Powell's occupies a full city block in downtown Portland. Needless to say, we could only see a very small part of the store, but that was interesting to say the least.
